Pie Throwing Belgian Anarchists

[edit]

Am I the only one who thinks this episode was inspired by the pie throwing Belgian anarchists who thew a pie in Bill Gates' face among other people? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No%C3%ABl_Godin 70.17.132.227 00:06, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Grammar/Spelling

[edit]

Will somebody please fix the grammar and spelling mistakes in this article? It is distracting and reduces the effect the words have on the reader(s).

Thank you.

Batman Forever reference?

[edit]

In the article it says that Homer designing his costume "is similar to a scene in Batman Forever". Where in that film does Bruce Wayne design his costume? I don't recall any scene like that.

Superhero movie references

[edit]

In the Pop Culture sections, people are saying scenes are similar to Spider-Man 2 and Batman Begins. SM2 and BB came out AFTER this episode was aired, so...why is that in the article? Those are coincidences as the Simpsons couldn't parody them since they had't even come out yet.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Reference

[edit]

Have the simpsons already done a similar 'golden ticket' reference? I seem to remember Homer opening packet after packet of something in the kwik-e-mart with Apu politely and repeatedly asking him to stop. Homer ignores him and eventually wins whatever it was he was looking for, though I can't remember what it was or what episode it was from. Did this actually happen or did I just dream it? I'm racking my brains here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.105.95.76 (talk) 16:25, 30 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Simple Simon Nursery Rhyme

I looked up Simple Simon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simple_Simon_(nursery_rhyme)) and it seems pretty clear that this episode is making a reference to it.
