The fifth (or more accurately - the CLOSING) verse
[edit]I have always sung this song with the fifth verse and therefore assumed it was simply part of the rhyme. Here are some links to support the fifth verse. It was also included on a video from my childhood, called Nursery Rhymes 2, which introduced me to the rhyme many years ago.

- well, not the fifth, but the one at the end
- again, not the fifth, but the closing verse
- Look at the version from the Real Mother Goose, 1916

- Is anyone going to help address this issue at all then? I'm just curious for other people's views, that's all... Orphan Wiki 17:46, 18 April 2010 (UTC)
- Yawn................. Orphan Wiki 14:22, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
- Well, the external link seems to point to the full text of the rhyme. It seems quite long; maybe that's why it's not listed in full? Kaguya-chan (talk) 22:32, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
YogPod
[edit]Someone please mention, in the popular culture section, that Lewis and Simon of the YogsCast/YogPod have a podcast format/game called Simple Simon, which also always ends in a question about the guest's favourite type of pie, because "Simple Simon wasn't a pieman, but he met one.". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:FE0:C000:1:B0E3:2A74:382D:7A7A (talk) 16:05, 8 January 2014 (UTC)
