[edit]There was a huge amount of vandalism and purple prose on this page. Have cleaned up as best I could Pitt the elder (talk) 13:24, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
This page is a ridiculous vanity project. Is there any way of blocking Mr. Barnes or his PR from editing it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.154.147.150 (talk) 11:49, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
To delete nearly 2000 characters you need to make a case for deletion here on the talk page -
- On what basis are you deleting them? - How does that deletion improve the article?

POV problems with this article
[edit]The following is not an appropriate style of writing for wikipedia -
'An extraordinarily fluent writer who is at his best when covering the rhythm, throb, ebb, pulse, tide, surge, wash, beat, and flow of human emotions, whether related to sport or not, Barnes is versatile, inventive, well-read and intelligent.'
'A very modest man who is very engaging in company, Barnes has turned down many invitations as a guest on TV sports shows'
Wikipedia is not a hagiography. NorthLondoner (talk) 18:13, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
- Ok, with the below, we need a few references here, remove the POV, then we can pop it back in.
2010 Vancouver Olympics coverage
[edit]Barnes's blatant Olympic bashing did not stop the next chance he got. Only this time, he took his frustrations out on the host country instead.
- "Canada has not come of age in Vancouver 2010. Canada has regressed into a sneering but ultimately impotent adolescence."
While the general public has been lead to believe that Barnes has been simply extending his opinion as usual, many Canadian's (as well as individuals of other nationalities), believe that he has been paid to help set higher sights in order to cause many to simply look ahead to the 2012 winter games - held in his home, of Britain. —Preceding NorthLondoner (talk) 22:04, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
