At Wikipedia:WikiProject_National_Register_of_Historic_Places/NRHP_articles_needing_attention, there is a proposal to split this into two articles, Silverton, Colorado and Silverton Historic District.
OPPOSE. Most or all of Siverton is included in the Silverton Historic District. Splitting would result in two near-identical articles, and confuse readers. Redirects (as now) are the appropriate solution. --Pete Tillman (talk) 22:45, 20 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
