Is this a Mall?

The Silverburn Website call the complex a Regional Centre. So given this should the article really be called Silverburn Regional Centre? Stewart 21:39, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

NPOV

I don't normally add big banners to pages, but I know almost nothing about this topic, so can't really edit it myself without just trimming it down to almost nothing. But statements like "Council Leader Charles Gordon, whose political carreer was characterised by ignoring the concerns of surrounding areas and behaving in a dictatorial fashion" and "the Silverburn project is arguably unnecessary" have no place in wikipedia. Comments such as the following have no place here: "it is one of the largest shopping centres in the UK though is almost identical to every shopping centre in the uk. Parking

Removed the following section:

"For the average driver, it is worth knowing some facts relating to such parking "schemes". Such schemes are often a false, and probably illegal, impersonation of procedures and powers applicable to official Traffic Wardens, which the attendants clearly are not. It is not unusual for "Parking Charge Notices" to be given out wrongly and in a rather upstartish manner, yet the matter is dealt with in a carbon copy way of what you would expect from a ticket issued by a Traffic Warden. For the unwary, do not ignore such "notices", but rest assured that these people have no authority to hand out "fines" or anything of the kind. The charges are levied because of a breach of civil law, ie an implied agreement with terms and conditions. One Tesco in particular declare that these charges are indeed fines, which they are not. It is also interesting to note that the website for paying such charges is www.payfine.co.uk, which misleads one into thinking that the charge is not a charge but a fine, which again it is not. If it were a fine they would say so. Note that they don't actually say this, instead using various tactics and gimmicks to fool people into thinking it. However, in spite of understandable consternation, these parking schemes do have SOME basis in law, and it would be best to contest them if you object to the particular "ticket" you have been given. Otherwise you may well be found liable by a court and ordered to pay, thus leaving yourself out of pocket and adding to the arrogance of outfits who operate such schemes."
