I don't see an arowana taking down monkeys or bats but I've heard the myths and such. I wanna see some footage of it.

I changed the wording a bit. Does anyone have a reliable reference proving this fish can take such large prey? Ginkgo100 01:34, 27 February 2006 (UTC)Ginkgo100[reply]

Largest Freshwater Fish

[edit]

I had an old book of mine stating that this fish is the largest freshwater fish in the world. It said the Silver Arowana can reach up to 24 feet in the wild. As you can imagine, it can easily swallow a man. Their was also a photo I have seen of a 6 foot man standing next to a hanging 20 foot arowana. That person was about 1/4 of the length of the Silver Arowana. It was completely stunning.

The second largest fish in this book was the alligator gar. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Infozestguy (talkcontribs) 00:26, 25 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
