Mulligan discovery date

Earliest date December 1881 as per newspaper article Brisbane Courier 30 January 1882, p3 announcing discovery and Mulligan's report The Queenslander 13 Jan 1883, p65 saying nearly 12 months since prospectors applied for their section. 58.179.99.185 (talk) 06:30, 12 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Can you be more specific as to the article published on 30 Jan 1882? All I can find there is Mulligan attending a dinner. If you are using Trove, look over to the left hand side of the screen to where you can see a "bookmap" (the icon immediately below the upper case A).
