Company move to Shrewsbury
[edit]The information given here, cited to local radio, states that Silhouette came to Shrewsbury "in the late 1940s", after World War II. However, information from a book on Shrewsbury Cemetery (where three of the Lobbenberg family who left Germany were buried) that they moved because of the Blitz on London to Shrewsbury DURING the War in preference to Coventry - the only other place where a site out of London was offered. The Lobbenbergs were said to be grateful for the choice when Coventry suffered severe air raids after their move.Cloptonson (talk) 15:48, 4 May 2014 (UTC)
Nigel Hinton
[edit]I have delinked the name of Nigel Hinton, writer of the book about the company, as it is not the same as the Nigel Hinton (the former actor) who has a Wikipedia article. A look at the latter's website shows a possibly older and certainly non-resembling man and it does not mention the Silhouette book.Cloptonson (talk) 16:02, 4 May 2014 (UTC)
Corrections
[edit]After being contacted by Peter Lobbenberg, son of Hans, I have corrected the names of the founding partners from 'Emil Lobbernberg' (sic) to Max Lobbenberg, and Hans(sic) Blumenau to Emil Blumenau, and Hans Lobbenberg's widow's name to Annemarie. The Lobbenbergs' family history is detailed on a genealogical website [1].Cloptonson (talk) 19:22, 23 November 2014 (UTC)
