Vanniyar, Vandaiyar titles are used by Thevar also

[edit]

I have removed the caste reference as Vanniyar and Vandaiyar titles are used by Thevar group also. So it is not quite clear as to which group the poem refers to or the caste of Karunakara Tondaiman.

The name vanniyar

[edit]

The name vanniyar and the sambu gothra belongs to the vanniyars or pallis of north tamil nadu as per census 1929 released by British government of india.the title vanniyar used by other castes of tamil nadu does not have any proff to historical claims for angikula myth.so i added that this poem written by a lenged kambar is to describe pride of vanniyars caste and thier mythological claims along with their sambu gothra. 2409:4071:E1F:2DA4:0:0:889:4208 (talk) 20:01, 14 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
