Additions
[edit]um, estimate?
[edit]As far as I can tell, the overall number given is simply a sum of all the values given. Can we get a source which directly states how many Sikhs there are worldwide? Mangoe (talk) 18:39, 6 August 2012 (UTC)
Numbers in Tables Not Credible
[edit]The numbers in the tables by country are in the billions! How can this be? Whoever posted them should fix them.
Better Population Map
[edit]I came here looking for a population map, but the one shown on the page isn't very good. There are more than 21 million Sikhs in India, but the scale only says "500,000" or more, but India is also the only country that is in that category. It is quite misleading, and I had to go to the table to figure out the real distribution. What's the point of the picture if you have to go to the table anyways! I will think about working on a map. Orphaned references in Sikhism by country
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Sikhism by country's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 04:46, 4 January 2023 (UTC)

"Fifth-largest religion"?
[edit]The first paragraph links to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Major_religious_groups, which does not seem to agree with the claim that Sikhism is the world's fifth-largest religion. Shinto, Taoism, and Voodoo all have more adherents: are we employing a definition of 'religion' that excludes those movements? 46.244.5.203 (talk) 11:44, 19 September 2023 (UTC)
- It's the fifth largest "organized" religion, not the fifth largest religion overall. MaplesyrupSushi (talk) 00:16, 20 September 2023 (UTC)
