==Names of Sikh Gurus== what IS A GUROOOOOOO??
I thought it'd be interesting to list the names of the Sikh gurus in all the many English renditions:
Please remember Baba, Sri, Guru, can be added to the front and Sahib, Maharajah or Ji at the end.
- Nanak Bedi, Nanak Dev, Nanak Shah
- Angad, Angad Dev, Lehna, Lahna
- Amar Das, Amar Daas
- Ram Das, Raam Das, Ram Daas, Raam Daas, Jetha
- Arjan Dev, Arjun Dev,
- Hargobind, Hargovind, Har Gobind, Har Govind, Harigobind, Harigovind, Hari Gobind, Hari Govind
- Har Rai, Hari Rai, Harrai, Harirai
- Har Krishen, Hari Krishen, Har Krishan, Hari Krishan, Har Kishen, Hari Kishen, Har Kishan, Hari Kishen (and the same list again but joined).
- Tegh Bahadur, Teg Bahadur, Tegh Bahadar, Teg Bahadar
- Gobind Singh, Govind Singh, Gobind Rai, Govind Rai
I've made this list from memory, so if you have any further versions to add, please do add them! Sukh | ਸੁਖ | Talk 13:01, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

Inconsistency
In the table with the names, birthday, death-day and age at death it says Guru Amar Das lived to 95. However, in the timeline with the years in which they lived, it says he lived to be 30-50. Huh?
- The timeline indicates period of guruship, not the age of the Guru. Sukh | ਸੁਖ | Talk 00:29, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
Clarification needed
As a non-Sikh, I am confused about some things in this article and hope someone with more knowledge can clarify them: (1) In the table, is "Date of ascension" what is commonly known as the date of death? If so, should we have an explanatory note, or perhaps, in accordance with WP: NPOV, simply call it death? (2) How was guruship attained? Who declared that someone was the Guru? (3) Why do some guruships begin shortly before the ascension of the previous Guru, while others begin on the same day? (4) Is there a reason why some of the ages (presumably the guru's age at ascension) seem to be a year off? (I would compute Guru Nanak's age at 70, and Guru Angad's at 47, just two days short of 48.) Are these discrepancies caused by changes in the calendar? (5) The bar graph seems to be rendered incorrectly when viewed with the 2 browsers (Chrome and IE) that I have. All of the bar labels show up as only "Ji". Also, the bar graph requires most of my 1,920-pixel display width to view without scrolling, which would probably inconvenience people with less display resolution. If I get time, I might try to fix these bar-graph problems myself. Peter Chastain (talk) 12:12, 30 December 2013 (UTC)
- I have fixed the timeline problems identified in item (5), above. 05:56, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
Can someone verify the claim that Angad prohibited visiting certain places?
Currently, the table claims that the 2nd Guru Angad "prohibited visit & worship of Muslims religious places by Sikhs."
While it is easy to find Internet references saying that Amar Das (3rd Guru) did this, I cannot find anything saying Angad did -- can someone supply this?

Yes, this is completely unheard of.
This table has other fallacies as well, and should be replaced. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Js82 (talk • contribs) 08:51, 29 August 2015 (UTC)
Updating the timeline
I've fixed the years to match the table. And have changed some named like "Rajesh" and "Yuvan" to Nanak, as it should be.
The only thing that I don't know how to fix, is the formatting of the table so the edges fit within the image. I think it's called the padding?
My intent isn't to troll or push an agenda, so please let me know if I've made a mistake somewhere.
As my personal opinion, once that is reviewed and fixed, it should be locked by Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wikimaneditorforfun (talk • contribs) 06:52, 25 December 2016 (UTC)

Khalsa as the 12th Guru of the Sikhs
Please see the discussion I raised on the Khalsa page regarding this topic: Talk:Khalsa#Khalsa as the 12th Guru of the Sikhs
I am posting it here since this article deals with the Sikh Gurus (humans, granth, and panth). ThethPunjabi (talk) 22:41, 17 August 2022 (UTC)
