I did some cleanup and removing of fluff and non notables. Removed alot of false claims or changed claims that did not specify that they were the first Latino organization not first overall to do something. Overall i removed alot of stuff just wanted to put a heads up. Article still needs some work.Trey (talk) 20:20, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
Notable Alumni
Re-added notability template as the list only currently has 1 person who is notable. Please remove all other people on list who are not notable. Wikipedia: Notable Alumni states as followed
- "Thus, people who have their own Wikipedia articles should generally be listed under "notable alumni" (if there is such a section at all), and people who do not have an article should generally not be listed unless the reason they don't have an article is because, although it would qualify under WP:BIO, the article simply hasn't been created yet."
Please remove people who do not fit the criteria. Please do not remove template. Please see Wikipedia:Notability (people) Justplaying2 (talk) 18:35, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
- First, I must apologize for not putting back the tags. I really forgot. I just saw two tags (Unreference and non-notables) for a list with only one person who did satisfy the Wikipedia criteria for notability and thought they were no longer needed, so I deleted them. Later, I remember there were other people on the list for whom the tags might had been put in there. So, I went back to the history and found the deletion and the deletion comment under the Wikipedia:Notable Alumni criteria, but the page for the criteria itself has a tag, which read "This page is currently inactive and is retained for historical reference. Either the page is no longer relevant, or consensus on its purpose has become unclear." So, I went down the criteria for Wikipedia:Notability (people). The first person on the SLB list is an Emmy award winner. There wasn't anything for TV Actors, for if for music, the guidelines states: "Has won or been nominated for a major music award, such as a Grammy, Juno, Mercury, Choice or Grammis award," why wouldn't there be one Emmy-winner and one Emmy-nominated notable according to this? Like this, several other people who I wasn't sure did not fall under other criteria. If I found at least two people who would satisfy Wikipedia's guidelines, and since the list was deleted as a whole, I thought there could be others. The deletion should be done on a case by case basis. I restored it all until this could be done. It was then, when I forgot to put back the tags.--Coquidragon (talk) 22:28, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
- This all may be true, but since no reliable sources are shown to these facts, or to the membership in the list, per WP:NLIST, the people can't remain. If no sources are added soon, I will remove the entire list as unsourced. --Muhandes (talk) 07:09, 29 June 2011 (UTC)

- The sources are coming its way, but they'll take some time. If you feel you need to take them down, do so. I'll add them when I have them. You are the first wikignome I meet. Thanks for keeping wikipedia encyclopedic, even if it is by removing material I deem worthwhile. jeje.--Coquidragon (talk) 14:54, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
- I'm in no hurry to remove anything. If you say sources are incoming, it will wait for you (not indefinitely of course). --Muhandes (talk) 14:59, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but I think this is long enough. I have also left you a message 10 days ago in your talk page. I am moving the list here, feel free to reinstate any name which is both notable and has a reliable source that he is an alumnus.--Muhandes (talk) 21:24, 11 August 2011 (UTC)

International membership?
Can anyone explain why this organizations says in brackets under the American Flag or Puerto Rican Flag underneath that it has an international membership?Greektruthmovement (talk) 14:46, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
Salon De Hermandad
I removed a bloated section about Salon De Hermandad. My reasoning is that since this is an award only for contribution to Sigma Lambda Beta, it is an internal matter and of very little interest to the encyclopedic reader. I don't have an objection for a single paragraph mention in an appropriate place, but a full listing is un-encyclopedic and bordering in trivia.--Muhandes (talk) 07:05, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
