Server examples

[edit]

Any servers using the language? 81.5.87.11 (talk) 19:27, 19 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Cyrus imapd does. For the dovecat server there is an implementation called pigeonhole. --87.138.107.168 (talk) 12:41, 16 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Page Vandalism

[edit]

I reverted the vandalism from 81.14.228.62 @11:13, 8 February 2012, which replaced the word "suitable" with the word "unsuitable" in the following sentence: "Although extensions have been devised to extend the language to include variables and, to a limited degree, loops, the language is still highly restricted, and thus suitable for running user-devised programs as part of the mail system."

Support for this interpretation can be found in RFC 5228: "The language is powerful enough to be useful but limited in order to allow for a safe server-side filtering system."
