Shield or Strato Volcano
[edit]The article lists this as a shield volcano while Wood considers this a stratovolcano. Does anyone have any other sources? --Burntnickel 01:32, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
- The other reference, Volcano World, gives shield volcano. From morphology, it appears to be a shield, too. I was unable to find other sources when I edited this article in March. --Seattle Skier (talk) 03:52, 9 May 2007 (:UTC)
- It does appear to be a shield volcano from the image. I will leave it as is. --Burntnickel 09:34, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
- I did my Masters on this Volcano, although it appears to be a Shield Volcano, compositionally it is a Stratovolcano (composed of basalt, basaltic andesite, andesite, etc). Ig Petrologist (talk) 17:01, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks! Is your master's published or otherwise available? Nmjake (talk) 21:53, 20 October 2024 (UTC)
