[edit]i am adding to this corporate history leading to the acquisition of bill lears company in 1961. this laid the groundwork for lear to develop the learjet and lear siegler to (among other things) provide the telemetry (navagation) for the apollo moon missions. Give me a day or two and i will add enough that it shows its not just a billboard - if you disagree then, i am sure it will be toast.
These corporate types were a major change in the way business was done and i think you will agree when i flesh it out. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Windancer1 (talk • contribs) 04:11, 14 November 2006
- The main points that i am getting at are
- pioneering the business form "comglomerate" which paved the way for the mergers and acquisitions of the next 3 decades.
- the product fallout from the rush to the moon
- additional background on southern california aerospace industry (see Bill Lear)
