Suggested move
[edit]What about moving this to Siege of Kiev?-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk 15:26, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
- There were other sieges, including that by Batu Khan. Also, please don't follow my edits. --Ghirla -трёп- 15:30, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
- So please create a disambig, although I'd recommend redirecting it to Battle of Kiev. And I am sorry to disappoint you that I am not following your edits in particular but I am following most edits to eastern european history.-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk 15:38, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
- Nevertheless, you pasted your template to the page within minutes after I started it. Not that I have problem with it, though. --Ghirla -трёп- 15:49, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
- How many people have you accused of stalking in the past couple of hours, Ghirla? Beit Or 17:29, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
- You wouldn't know that unless you're stalking him yourself, of course. Aran|heru|nar 11:11, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

Bribing
[edit]The part about the Byzantines bribing the Pechenegs to attack the Rus doesn't seem to make sense. The Bulgars were a thorn in the side of the Byzantines. It makes no sense for them to bribe the Pechenegs to attack the Rus (to take pressure off the Bulgars). If I remember my history correctly, Nicephorus Phocas actually incited war with the Bulgars, then invited the Rus in to fight the Bulgars. It wasn't until the Rus began attacking Byzantine lands that Nicophorus bribed the Pechenegs to attack the Rus. Could somebody check that? Shadowstrike 21:35, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
