Sidra Intersection → SIDRA INTERSECTION – The company name 'SIDRA' is an acronym, and the product name INTERSECTION is styled in all uppercase by SIDRA (per Wikipedia:NOUN). EvilPenguin (talk) 22:26, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
- Not done per WP:MOSTM -Aaron Booth (talk) 22:44, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
- I also removed a template added by the proposer stating The correct title of this article is SIDRA INTERSECTION. It appears incorrectly here because of technical restrictions. for two reasons. First, it was inaccurate due to the fact that the reason SIDRA INTERSECTION is not used is not because of technical restrictions but due to relevant guideline the WP:MOSTM. Secondly, I am also not aware of any articles that don't use all caps due to the WP:MOSTM that use this template in this particular fashion. In short the template is not being apporpiatally used and it should not be readded.
- Oppose per Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Trademarks. This is a recurring type of request for ALLCAPS by visualists. The letters S I D R A are not individually pronounced, and this is not an exception like NATO. --Bejnar (talk) 02:57, 10 April 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose. As per WP:MOSTM, we don't use all-caps for purely stylistic purposes. --DAJF (talk) 23:26, 10 April 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose MOS:CAPS, MOS:TM; Even if "Sidra" is an acronym, at best it would be SIDRA Intersection. However, no proof of it being one is offered. 70.24.248.211 (talk) 12:46, 13 April 2012 (UTC)
- SIDRA stands for 'Signalised and unsignalised Intersection Design and Research Aid', but I would guess it still falls under MOS:ALLCAPS. If I'm wrong I'll find sources. EvilPenguin (talk) 03:02, 16 April 2012 (UTC)

Trademark style issue
[edit]Would it be appropriate to note the way that SIDRA style the trademark in a section, or should all occurences follow standard English? EvilPenguin (talk) 03:12, 11 April 2012 (UTC)
- I don't think that is necessary however the stylized is often mentioned in the lead of the article. A few examples would be Kiss (band),Nights (character), and Time (magazine).--174.93.169.157 (talk) 17:28, 14 April 2012 (UTC)
