Date of birth

[edit]

date of birth is probably wrong - if he was flying in WW2 he wasn't born in 1938. Tim Fellows 11:11, 10 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

World War I

[edit]

Just looking at correcting an entry about the first world war it mentioned he served with 8 Sqn RAF until he resigned in October 1917. So presumably as the RAF did not exist then it should be 8 Sqn RNAS rather than 8 Sqn RFC. Anybody know for sure as I can find very little evidence of his first world war service cant find anything in the London Gazette although I have tried all the obvious combinations of search. Between the wars

[edit]

Following the divorce from his first wife the previous year, in 1926, Cotton married 18-year-old Millicent Joan Henry whom he had met in Canada" (please add:"with whom he had a daughter" Also as they met in Newfoundland and it did not become part of Canada until 1949 Newfoundland should be the place where they met. 24.65.232.181 (talk) 22:37, 30 October 2017 (UTC) Jill Seaton (née Cotton – birth certificate available if required)(User talk:Jill Seaton}16:40, 30 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
