- The scope of this article and List of drying lakes is similar, but not identical. This article is about any lake that has shrunk, even due prehistoric climate changes (such as the ice age ending). List of drying lakes is about lakes that have dried due to human intervention. However, it's unclear that the broader scope is actually notable: are there references to show that the shrunken lake topic passes WP:GNG? If not, then I would be in favor of a merge to List of drying lakes, which has more readership. — hike395 (talk) 07:33, 27 November 2021 (UTC)
