- I'm interested in this article. I'll review it over the next couple of weeks...
- What caused capital flight?
- Got some WP:OVERCITE here ("declared on Venezuela.[25][26][27][28][29][30]") and possibly other instances. ♦ Lingzhi2 (talk) 14:44, 10 September 2019 (UTC)
- Thought I'd mention I'm following this page, because I would be willing to help address issues to improve the article. Kingsif (talk) 01:47, 17 September 2019 (UTC)
- Jump on in! All editors welcome. ♦ Lingzhi2 (talk) 02:10, 17 September 2019 (UTC)
- Uh Oh. I just got around to noticing the very large list in the bottom of the article. Alas, no, I think the list has to go, as per WP:LIST. Meanwhile, the graph of food shortages has no explanation whatsoever. What's a "percentage of food shortage"? I'm sure that wherever that graph came from contains an explanation. ♦ Lingzhi2 (talk) 12:31, 17 September 2019 (UTC)
- @Lingzhi2: The list can go.
The line graph is based on one created by El Universal that showed historical "scarcity rates" in Venezuela from 2006 onward. Following the sale of El Universal, they no longer produced the scarcity rate graph.----ZiaLater (talk) 08:43, 20 September 2019 (UTC) (correction →) The scarcity rate came from the Central Bank of Venezuela itself and was reproduced by El Universal in a graphic. Here is the original source (Page 5).----ZiaLater (talk) 08:49, 20 September 2019 (UTC)

- Way too much quoting from original sources here, see foex The Earwig's copyvio tool. But you can just CTRL-F and search for quotation marks; the results are 495. I assume that means there are roughly 245 quotations or so. I think it would take a long time to fix all these...Plus still got some ugly WP:OVERCITE. ♦ Lingzhi2 (talk) 07:02, 23 September 2019 (UTC)
- I can try and go through and paraphrase. The many quotations may be a result of many editors having English as an additional language and not being sure how to rephrase. Kingsif (talk) 17:43, 23 September 2019 (UTC)
- OK if you wanna take it on. You can either do that or let it Fail. With only you working, it's gonna take a while... But go for it if you want. ♦ Lingzhi2 (talk) 00:09, 24 September 2019 (UTC)
- It will take a while to get this to GA, but I feel its main area of lacking is the style; for me, I feel the article does manage to cover everything and also in a very good and consistent level of detail. But, you're right, it's going to take a while, it may be easier to fail this and let the Venezuela WP work on it before someone renominates it. Kingsif (talk) 15:34, 24 September 2019 (UTC)
(←) Sorry then. ♦ Lingzhi2 (talk) 15:59, 24 September 2019 (UTC)
