I love wikipedia! I never suspected there was so much to know about shoelaces :)

Who finds time to write these pointless articles??

People who believe in contributing rather than wasting time writing pointless comments. Ian Fieggen 02:47, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Shouldn't there be some reference to Aglets, as that are part of most shoe laces? --198.82.107.122 18:46, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

There is, under Shoelace Construction. Ian Fieggen 22:37, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

Excuse am, being new to the working of such a website, a confusion has arisen according to my comprehension of the using or usage of shoelace as currency, for exampling, to fund product of the seminal "gangster" film Urban Menace. Seeing you soon, all the best, Zeshan Ahmad, Bromsgrove. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.145.112.47 (talk) 15:30, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

Does anyone know anything about the history of shoelaces, when and where they were first used; that kind of thing? wintermute (talk) 01:44, 16 May 2012 (UTC)

You'll find this under the History section. Ian Fieggen (talk) 23:04, 16 May 2012 (UTC)

What is the name of the 'collar' at the end of a shoelace, preventing fraying?
