Four different versions
[edit]I have read the article in four different Wikipedias, de, en, it and sv, and in these four articles there are four different versions of his adventure in Stockholm in 1912. That is not good. Calle Widmann (talk) 12:11, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
Orange juice vs. other refreshments
[edit]The current article states that he "stumbled into a nearby garden party, where he drank orange juice for an hour," which is taken from the referenced Saatchi article in the Evening Standard from 2012.
However, a more recent Washington Post article from 2021 states, "Kanakuri was about two-thirds of the way through when he stumbled off course and into a garden area. Many reports suggested he passed out, perhaps because of heat stroke, though others suggested he simply wandered into an outdoor party. Regardless, the race continued, and the Japanese runner found himself at a farm home along the race route, owned by the Petra family. The family fed him raspberry juice, fruits and cinnamon rolls and gave him new clothes and a place to sleep."
So there is conflicting information on his refreshments and also how long he stayed. How to resolve the conflicting references? Jwpgh (talk) 14:47, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
- Occam's razor suggests that raspberry juice is more likely, since oranges would have been quite exotic in Sweden in 1912 and canned juice wasn't even invented until the 1920s. Jpatokal (talk) 06:44, 22 March 2024 (UTC)
Death date discrepancy between en and pl versions
[edit]In English version of the article the death date is 1983 but in Polish one 1984. 87.207.48.10 (talk) 11:26, 15 August 2024 (UTC)
