Notability Established
[edit]As per Wikipedia:WikiProject_Martial_arts/Notability#Arts_and_styles .
- Olympic participant or world champion of a significant international organization; - more than a few dozen competitors,
- Repeated medalist (as an adult black belt, i.e. 1st dan equivalent or higher rank) in another significant event; - (e.g. competitors from multiple nations or significant national tournament, not an internal school champion)
He was on Team USA, competed and placed in the world championships, and was a national champion. CrazyAces489 (talk) 22:03, 12 November 2014 (UTC)
- The Higashi name is known to me mainly through his father and aikido. However, Shintaro was never national champion and at the world championship he attended but did not make it past the first round. He's ranked as the article says 51st. Anyway its just a tag that basically says a better case should be made.Peter Rehse (talk) 22:35, 12 November 2014 (UTC)
- Understood, I thought this was a good enough reference, 21/04/2007 1 US National Championships Miami NC U100 and 29/04/2011 1 US National Championships Orlando NC U100, I did not want it to become a list of results. [1] CrazyAces489 (talk) 22:40, 12 November 2014 (UTC)

- Nobuyoshi Higashi (http://en.shodokanaikido.com/about/contents05.html).Peter Rehse (talk) 22:54, 12 November 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you, I created an article in the name of his father. Nobuyoshi Higashi CrazyAces489 (talk) 05:45, 13 November 2014 (UTC)
