Hiyama is one of the most beloved of the active Hanshin Tigers players. His regular playing time fell off in 2005, and now he is now exclusively a pinch hitter. For several years, Hiyama has pinch hit in the 9th inning when a homerun would win the ball game. The crowd always loves Hiyama, singing his cheering song and doing a special "Hiyama Dance" to the song. He is the only player on the team to have a special dance. It's a shame that I cannot add this information to the article, since it is all original research. It is very difficult to get english-language sources for Hiyama, however I will be working on translations and see if I can put something together. Hiyama is a very special player and deserves to have a complete entry. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vir4030 (talk • contribs) 13:06, 29 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
