hindunet.org is not a credible source; refer to Rao's publications directly, and without claiming successful decipherment in Wikipedia's voice. Also avoid verbatim copying from external sites for copyright reasons as well as concerns of factuality. dab () 18:47, 2 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't find any hindunet.org in the references. Or may be you are refering to hinduonnet.com, which is, imo, the most credible Indian source - it is the online version of The Hindu, a nespaper in existence for over a century. --Gurubrahma 17:36, 3 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No - Dbachmann's concern was addressed earlier by me - I removed the link and added a more credible source, as well as removing copyvio. Rama's Arrow 17:46, 3 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"Excavations at Dwaraka" section

[edit]

In the "Excavations at Dwaraka" section, the following text appears (italics are mine):

"Rao asserts that the unearthed remains were the mythical city that was home to Krishna, the eighth Avatara of Vishnu. According to Rao's research and the Mahabharata, Krishna built Dwaraka at Kushasthali - a fortress in the sea which is in ruins. Then he built another at the mouth of the Gomti river."

I'm not sure what Krishna built, in that sentence. I think "city," and added it to the text of the article. If he didn't build a city, I think that sentence needs to be cleared up. CommanderFalafel 19:32, 3 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
