Itaga?

[edit]

I have read in several sources that Munakata preferred to use the characters 板画 instead of 版画 to refer to prints, as the latter emphasizes the printing process, while the former emphasizes the woodblock itself. However, I have not seen any reference to support the assertion this Wiki article makes that 板画 should be pronounced 'itaga' and not 'hanga'. Is there a source for this?
