[edit]Wow, just wow
When I put text in about the subject I get HAMMERED
When I put pictures in I get SHOT DOWN
Which one of you experts got a clue concerning the Shiawassee River, The State Heritage Water Trail or anything else concerning geography and what happens concerning waterways in the state of Michigan
I'm trying really , really hard to disseminate PUBLIC INFO on a PUBLIC website increasing the knowledge base of all visitors to WIKIPEDIA
How can "someone else" write about a grassroots movement to revitalize a river when they don't know diddly about it -yet when a local expert "me" writes about - no one believes the info to be factual, accurate, referenced , etc.

I gave text, I gave pictures, I gave references - what more do I need ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Willi H2O (talk • contribs) 05:17, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
- You might find it helpful to review WP:No original research, WP:Verifiability, and WP:Identifying reliable sources. Wikipedia does not publish original thought, even when it is related to valuable local projects. Instead, we gather information from reliable sources and make it available to readers.
- This page currently features four references that look reliable, the Fenton Press, Flint News, Flint Journal, and Tri-County Times. I would recommend paraphrasing information from those pieces, and citing them as your sources.
- One other piece of advice: if you are closely affiliated with efforts to improve or promote the Shiawassee River Heritage Water Trail, you might want to review WP:Conflict of interest. It can be difficult to write dispassionately when you are passionate about a subject.
- You can also look to the Help index for answers to other question or to request additional assistance. Cnilep (talk) 20:02, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

I don't see anyone else doing diddly squat , someone had to create an awareness of the situation, issue, etc.
Using a simple Google Web Alert for: "shiawassee river" will yield weekly newspaper articles about this natural resource
Mayors of townships all along the 110 miles of the river want this trail to be extended. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.167.128.192 (talk) 21:36, 24 February 2010
