AfD closure comment: A keep or merge debate can be done outside of AfD. --Deathphoenix ʕ 06:49, 22 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is a subarticle of Abu Bakr.

This article is not to be deleted in accordance whith the following:

As Wikipedia articles grow, they often need to be segmented, or branched, into manageable parts. This is an accepted premise for forking an article, and the nature of that split more often depends upon consensus — e.g. a "Criticism of" article may be justified if there is enough (OR GOING TO BE ENOUGH) material to justify a separate article, and it is substantially and fairly represented on the main article, linking prominently to the segment.
Articles should not be split as POV1/POV2, but as main article/sub-article. The branch must be approached in a manner consistent with NPOV. Branch out to a sub-article when the section would be far too long in the main article, but you must have a fair summary in the main article. e.g. "Criticism of" articles. Wikipedia:POV_fork

As it stands this article (as well as the other "Shia view on" articles) is not long enough to stand on its own and should be merged into the main article. In addition, all the "Shia view on" articles do not conform to Wikipedia:Guide to layout by providing the appropriate context in the intro. Zunaid 08:16, 21 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

ill try to fix the context, however, the articles are here since Zora did not want the material on the main article. If you convinde here, you have my suport for merging. --Striver 10:29, 21 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

In that case I'll nominate this (and all the others) for a merge and start a discussion in the respective main articles. Zunaid 11:50, 21 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

How accurate is this in regards to Shia views of Abu Bakr, to me it seems to be very extremist, as I have read many Shia sources that are not as harsh in their treatment of Abu Bakr DigiBullet 05:46, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

What precise issue is pov, and how? Just "it does not feel good" is to ambigues. --Striver 09:04, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thats it? Nothing more? Drive by with ambigous question?--Striver 05:16, 18 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Shi'a view of Abu Bakr

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Shi'a view of Abu Bakr's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "Iranica":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 18:10, 14 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Abu Bakr and Ali's Family Ties

[edit]

I have removed this section as the information in it does not relate to the topic of the article. I'm happy to discuss any objections. Biggs Pliff (talk) 17:51, 15 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
