[edit]It seriously?. He has starred in several television series. He is a singer and has posed for various modeling approaches magazine.--McVeigh (talk) 22:33, 21 October 2014 (UTC)
- You really need to get your gender straight. Is the person a man or a woman?--Bbb23 (talk) 05:21, 22 October 2014 (UTC)
- If you believe the article, it's because Sheryl Rubio is a well known actress in Venezuela, and if do not believe me, why not search google ?. Obviously she is a woman. The article has everything you need to belong in wikipedia. Or need more references ?.--McVeigh (talk) 15:21, 22 October 2014 (UTC)
- I don't think it's a lack of references that causes the about whether Rubio is a man or woman.
- For me it's the within article contradiction between text saying 'actress' and then the seven uses of male pronouns etc in descriptions: "Known for HIS character "Sheryl" ... HE began acting at ... HIS first telenovela was ... HE participated in the telenovela ... same year HE ... In 2012 HE joined ... In 2014 HE was ...." (my caps).
- I came only to refine categories, but left confused Icarusgeek (talk) 15:54, 8 November 2014 (UTC)
- Sheryl is a woman. If you google images you will see that it is a woman.--McVeigh / talk 20:14, 8 November 2014 (UTC)

Confirmed vs speculation
[edit]Sorry you have reversed your issue, but if this information was deleted because it is obviously speculative, recently just leave this. With the current situation in Venezuela, I doubt that Sheryl wants to return, and that the telenovela can be produced. because recently made casting for the soap opera Despertar contigo is very speculative claims that will make a telenovela in Venezuela. It would be best to wait.--Philip J Fry Talk 23:47, 18 July 2016 (UTC)
- I disagree. The show is speculative, yes, but her confirmation for it is not speculative; it is a fact – she was confirmed to be a lead in the show. No matter what happens, this sentence "In May 2016, she was officially confirmed as one of the female protagonist of the original telenovela from Venevisión, Para verte mejor." is true. Are you disputing that? Did Rubio say that it's not true? The link you provided says nothing about that show, and it doesn't even have a date, so it's not very useful. If, as you say, she has stated that she might not return to Venezuela after confirming her role in this show, that could be notable, too. We could follow the above sentence with something like "However, Rubio later turned down the role because she did not want to return to Venezuela." (If that were to be the case.) But none of this would render her confirmation as speculative or justify its removal from the article. -- Irn (talk) 15:48, 19 July 2016 (UTC)
Model, singer, fashion designer, etc.
[edit]As I've stated in my edit summaries, one photo shoot does not make her a model, one song does not make her a singer, etc. The infobox and the lead are supposed to summarize the most salient points of the biography, not list every little thing that she has done. Many actresses do photo shoots, that does not make them all models. If she were primarily known for being a model, or had done significant work as a model, then it would be relevant and appropriate. As the article currently stands, that is not the case; she is known for her acting. -- Irn (talk) 03:44, 8 September 2016 (UTC)
- The IP and AlexMiller2 both claim that Rubio is a singer and has released three albums. That's fantastic, and it would make her a singer for sure. However, the article doesn't mention that. I invite you to find sources to support that and bring that in because the text makes no mention of her releasing any albums. -- Irn (talk) 04:29, 8 September 2016 (UTC)
Universal Music
[edit]According to this source, Universal Music put out the album for the show that she was in. I don't think that we can extrapolate from that to say that Universal Music is her label; it's the show's label, and she was on the show. If she has signed with a label, there should at least be a press release or some source stating as much. -- Irn (talk) 15:34, 8 September 2016 (UTC)
Height
[edit]The source we have clearly states that her height is "1.72 mts". Someone keeps trying to change this to 1.63 mts. Since her height is basically irrelevant, I've just taken it out altogether. -- Irn (talk) 00:49, 16 September 2016 (UTC)
