This is only one of many places called Sherborne, eg there is one in Somerset. A Disambiguity page is suggested. Adresia 16:49, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
It would be helpful to have a phonetic transcription of the local pronunciation of the name too. /ʃɜːbɘn/? /ʃɛːbɘn/? Or something else... Alarichall 19:02, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
Where are the street signs?
[edit]I counted a single street name in all of Sherbore the other day. Is this a record for an English town? Why wouldn't the town council make a point of letting tourists know what street they are on? Yes, the natives know what street they are on - but that's not the point of signs! 86.44.62.118 (talk) 12:30, 4 March 2010 (UTC)
- Not really anything to do with Wikipedia though. Perhaps you should ask the council? GedUK 12:39, 4 March 2010 (UTC)
Citation

- Hmm, no, that site uses wikipedia as its source. It says so at the top of the article; can't use a circular reference. There should be something from the stats office somewhere, I'll see what I can find. GedUK 07:56, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
- I've updated it. Nowhere near 40% according to the 2001 census. May have been added by a random source, I can't be bothered to trawl the history for it. GedUK 08:52, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
