David Sher
[edit]David Sher is a graduate of the University of Toronto where he obtained both his B.A. (1959) and his M.A. (1960). A scholarship from the Australian National University made it possible for him to continue his education in the southern hemisphere, working at Mount Stromlo Observatory. He received his PH.D. in Australia in 1964. He spent the next two years in Groningen, doing further research at the Wetenschappelijk Iedewerker, Kapteyn Astronomical Laboratory and in 1960 was appointed to his present position as an assistant professor, Department of Physics and Astronomy at Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge.
