[edit]re: the merger. I would suggest not, particularly since Graves Art Gallery is actually the longer article! I think they should stay as separate articles. L.J.Skinnerwot|I did 16:18, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
- No response in over a month, so I shall remove the merge templates. L.J.Skinnerwot|I did 23:52, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
Nonsensical revert
[edit]This revert, with the edit summary "Rermove (sic) coord - use coor title d until coord has full functions" makes no sense - {{coord}} already has "full functions" - far more, in fact, than coor title d has. Andy Mabbett 12:24, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- I agree with Lewis's sensible revert. It is not agreed that {{coord}} has full functions - see ongoing discussion at MOS talk. -- roundhouse 15:06, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- Sigh As I've already told you, in more than one discussion, and above, {{coord}} has all the functions of coor title d, and many more besides. It's already being used on tens of thousands of articles. Andy Mabbett 15:12, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- Sigh indeed. Let consensus emerge, let a bot do it. -- roundhouse 15:59, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
Coordinates
[edit]The coordinates have just been removed from the infobox, with the edit summary "fix". What was broken? Andy Mabbett 12:18, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
Coord
[edit]For the record, on this talk page, I object to the replacement of coor title d with coord until the position re Google is demonstrably resolved.
I also object to duplication - the appearance of the coordinates both in the title and the infobox. -- roundhouse 12:28, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
- Andy, can you fix the infobox so that the coordinates row does not display (as discussed many times)? A library is not a landmark and does not need coords in the infobox. I have no problem otherwise with the precision or coord. -- roundhouse0 20:55, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
- I don't agree with either your unfounded assertion that the City's main library (nor, indeed, any library) is not a landmark, nor your personal aesthetic preference. The template is designed to include coordinates. Since nothing is broken, there is nothing to "fix". Andy Mabbett 10:48, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
- Whence this obsession with coordinates? Why do we need them twice in a brief article about a library? -- roundhouse0 11:26, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
- The other objection (apart from needless duplication) to coords in the infobox is that they appear at 90% in the title and clash with the hoz line (in Firefox, default skin, and Opera, ditto). -- roundhouse0 12:29, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
