Additional material for Shannyn Moore article
[edit]In October, 2010, Shannyn guest hosted the Thom Hartmann Show. She is on the Board of Directors of the Cook Inlet Keeper, an environmental organization dedicated to maintaining the integrity of the Cook Inlet watershed that is impacted by the largest city in Alaska. http://www.inletkeeper.org. Shannyn is also a classically trained musician, playing both cello and the piano. 216.67.27.38 (talk) 01:35, 16 November 2010 (UTC)Elstun W. Lauesen elauesen@oz.net
- Huh, haven't seen that name in a long time. Greetings from your old stomping grounds. Here's a quick lesson in how Wikipedia works. There was a spike in Alaska-related coverage the end of the last decade/beginning of this decade. Unfortunately, it centered on the notion that everywhere and everyone with whom Sarah Palin has had a cup of coffee in her lifetime = all that's notable about Alaska. It's taken years and years to remove that stain from the encyclopedia. The main difference between this article and the others is that this was created some while after September 2008.
- I came by here in the course of my normal task of doing article assessments for WikiProject Alaska. This article is yet another half-assed collection of barely-connected sentences, with a tangent about Palin thrown in to fill up space like so many others I've seen. It's also a haven for script-editing "anti-vandal" warriors to revert everything in sight. I didn't check the revision history in any detail, but based on the number of times I've seen these sort of editors (usually admins) mindlessly carry out process and do what their scripts tell them to do without regard for content, I have to wonder how many useful contributions have been carelessly tossed aside. Considering all that, I left this assessed as a stub. I didn't pay much attention to how long it's been in this shape. However, the Palin fetish and overload of incestuous media whore sources makes it easy to figure out that this is another C-lister-worshiping exercise. The average dog on the Internet likely isn't going to give a rat's ass about who she is down in Homer versus who she is on television. Moore hosts a liberal radio talk show on the conservative Fox radio network, at this time the only such programming in Anchorage Alaska. 72.42.143.134 (talk) 19:58, 29 August 2011 (UTC)
