Weird quote

"Instead of writing about his brush with mortality—the wry "Don't Crash the Ambulance" aside..."

The song has zero to do with Mark's motorbike crash except the ambulance itself. It's actually about the two U.S. Presidents both named George Bush, the older one talking to his son in the lyrics. (Fictitiously, of course.) I can even source that Mark refuted the notion the song has anything to do with his accident[1]; while he's less forthcoming about the actual content, the many annotations on lyrics sites seem pretty compelling to me.
