I understand we need to disambiguate this article from Shanghai railway station, but "Shanghai Railway Station station" seems redundant. What about moving the page to Shanghai Railway Station (Shanghai Metro)? ---Another Believer (Talk) 05:10, 4 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure how to get more eyes here, but User:SounderBruce, does this seem reasonable? ---Another Believer (Talk) 05:10, 4 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@CaradhrasAiguo and Epicgenius: Pinging you as previous editors. ---Another Believer (Talk) 05:11, 4 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, I haven't edited this article in a long time. I guess that may work. Technically "Shanghai Railway Station station" is correct, but that's like saying "Union Station station (Washington Metro)". epicgenius (talk) 12:38, 4 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
There are more examples of this pattern (subway/metro stations named after railway stations) in Chinese metro system articles. There was a discussion and full list at Talk:Hongqiao Railway Station metro station and the majority of comments seemed to support or not disagree with using XXX Station metro station instead of XXX Station station. However, only one article was actually moved as a result. I originally proposed using XXX Station station at the discussion at Wikipedia:Village pump (policy)/Archive 139#RfC_on_naming_of_Chinese_railway_line_articles.
