Please note that an AFD discussion is not a permanent ban on the subject ever having an article; it is strictly a judgment on the version of the article that existed at the time of the discussion, and does not apply to revised versions of the article that are posted at a later date. This person has attained additional notability since the time of the original AFD discussion, having been elected as deputy leader of his political party in 2008. As a result, the version of the article that currently exists is substantially not the same as the article that was deleted in 2007 — and accordingly this article cannot be simply speedied as a "recreation of deleted material".
