[edit]According to the article's only references, the location of that lodge is in Cross City, Florida. Without the references, there is no article here....William, is the complaint department really on the roof? 23:10, 20 April 2018 (UTC)
- Hmmm.. Clearly the article is not a hoax, Shamrock is a real place. But it is possible Putnam Lodge isn't located there. I just looked quickly at the cited article and it says "Here, beside the old Dixie Highway, Putnam Lodge, part of the “company town” of Shamrock, accommodated tourists, transients and company executives and clients." Did the borders of the town change? FloridaArmy (talk) 23:12, 20 April 2018 (UTC)
- Referenced website has lodge address as- 15487 Northwest Highway 19, Cross City, FL 32628. That isn't anything called Shamrock....William, is the complaint department really on the roof? 23:15, 20 April 2018 (UTC)
- (EC)According to Google Maps it is .3 miles from Shamrock to Putnam Lodge. Perhaps a clarification is needed but it seems that the lodge was in fact part of the unincorporated community. Where exactly the borders lie now is hard for me to say. Putnam Lodge may indeed be part of Cross City although it seems to lie a bit outside it. FloridaArmy (talk) 23:17, 20 April 2018 (UTC)
- Okay, I will revise the article accorsingly. FloridaArmy (talk) 23:19, 20 April 2018 (UTC)

- You're calling something historic based on the lodge itself. First of all you need a reference for that from a source other than the lodge. At this time, Historic [[WP:NPOV....William, is the complaint department really on the roof? 23:25, 20 April 2018 (UTC)
- According to Visit Florida it is historic and a correct address for the lodge is also 15487 NW U.S. 19, Shamrock, Fla. (352) 440-0414. I'm not sure how anyone wouldn't consider a 28 room lodge built in 1927 to be anything but historic, but hey, to each their own. I hope the current updated text meets with your approval and we can remove the speedy tag. If there are any other improvements that need to be made please let me know or go ahead and make the proper adjustments with my blessing. FloridaArmy (talk) 23:49, 20 April 2018 (UTC)
