Employment, Entertainment, and Leisure
[edit]The first paragraph of this article states: "the citizens of Shailer Park have the conveniences of ... entertainment and leisure at the neighboring suburb of Loganholme". What entertainment and leisure does this refer to? I assume it refers - at least in part - to the etertainment and leisure at the Logan Hyperdome shopping complex. The Logan Hyperdome is in Shailer Park, not in Loganholme.
Furthermore, the Qld Government South East Queensland Regional Plan 2005-2026 lists Shailer Park (in particular the Logan Hyperdome) as a major activity centre. Major activity centres (e.g. Shailer Park) are defined as areas with concentrations of employment. They are important areas for business, services, and retail functions; they provide cultural and entertainment facilities; and they are part of the regional public transport network.
I agree with the previous commentator - Shailer Park is a fantasic suburb.--Clancycol (talk) 04:49, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
Article Update
[edit]I have updated the article to reflect information from the Queensland Government South East Queensland Regional Plan 2005-2026, that lists Shailer Park (in particular the Logan Hyperdome) as a major activity centre in southeast Queensland. I have included the reference. I have also included a reference for other information in the article, which unfortunately appears to be a direct copy from this source. I hope to rectify this soon. Finally, I have removed some information from the end of the article that is not directly related to Shailer Park.--Clancycol (talk) 13:36, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
