Moving content from article
[edit]Not sure that there is a place for this list of instruments by Abd al-Qadir in his book Maqasid al-Alhan (Persian for: purports of Music)(مقاصد الحان).. Putting it here temporarily to see if useful elsewhere. The list: udi gadim (old ud), udi kamil (improved ud), shashtay, kamancha, jiganak, Shirvan tanbur, Turkish tanbur, rubab, shidirgi, shahrud, mugni and nuzha.
