Listing some sources that came up in the AFD for this article.
"Google Search on Japanese name 谷原 章介 yields 286,000 results vs the romanized version of under 6,000. Anime News Network profile [1], Has appeared in Godzilla vs. Megaguirus[2]. In american media he has appeared in USA today "First of all, the iPod design is cute," said movie star Shosuke Tanihara, who listens to Prince and Janet Jackson with his iPod while cooking pasta at home or driving his Mercedes. "[3], Movie review of Fudoh: The New Generation in seattle times [4], Variety Magazine review of Vexille ,in which Shōsuke Tanihara plays a major character [5]" AtaruMoroboshi (talk) 15:36, 16 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
As I don't speak Japanese, I can't comment on whether the Google search is properly quoted, but if you will insert a reference to an article about him, in a print magazine or reliable online magazine (i.e., not a blog or a fan site), I'll withdraw the nomination. I don't see Fudoh: The New Generation as being adequate sourced, either, but that shows more promise. In any case, the star of a notable motion picture is not automatically notable. — Arthur Rubin | (talk)18:38, 16 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I beg to differ. Surely, starring some notable motion picture makes the person notable too. How else could he be notable (as a movie star)? -- Taku (talk) 10:32, 17 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The article survived the AFD with a withdrawal of nomination based on the notability established from Truth or Doubt[6] . Other sources should be included. Need someone with Japanese language skills who can translate and source news articles[7] where 谷原 章介 (Shōsuke Tanihara) is the prominent subject. AtaruMoroboshi (talk) 04:17, 19 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
These appearances do not have sources. Please see if you can find sources and then add them back once a source is found. Be sure to include the source, too. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe04:14, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
