Fair use rationale for Image:Sexandsinglegirl.jpg
[edit]Image:Sexandsinglegirl.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

I am not sure if this comment is in the scope of the discussion page, but the information here that Grump5 added recently is fantastic! —Preceding unsigned comment added by PhDsara (talk • contribs) 00:45, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
Unsourced?
[edit]I removed the "unsourced" tag as none of the information of this article needs to be sourced:
- content of the book: obviously derived from reading the book
- 1964 Natalie Woods movie obviously based on the book
- Sex And The City obviously inspired by Helen Gurley-Brown's book

I've restored it - see our policies entitled WP:CITE, WP:RS and WP:V. --Jza84 | Talk 11:43, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
Supplemented edition
[edit]I've just now added:
- The Four Square paperback edition published (in London) in 1964 includes "£ove $tory", an unpaginated 32-page supplement by the cartoonist and illustrator John Glashan, between pages 128 and 129.
-- and I've done so without a reference.
The reference is the book. Get hold of this edition of Sex and the Single Girl, and you'll find Glashan's story right there.
"Illustrated edition" would sound a lot less strange than "supplemented edition", but "£ove $tory" doesn't illustrate the book; instead, it's a bonus. I'm open to improvements to "supplementary", but I hope that they'd be suggested by people who've actually seen the book in question. -- Hoary (talk) 23:27, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
