It's just spandex with a hood for the head. It's used in Having a Hunch (possibly other places, too.) Fllmtlchcb 01:44, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My school's producing this...

[edit]

and I might be in it! If anybody lives near Woodside High School in Redwood City, CA, come and see it! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.202.144.133 (talkcontribs) Nov. 12, 2006

summary

[edit]

Man oh man the plot summary is way way too long. Can someone who knows the show cut it to about 1/3 the current length?--Dmz5 09:08, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is possibly one of the worst shows I have ever seen/been in. Terrible.

I loved it, its really just a matter of if you are open to seeing a musical that is not as serious or "adult" as most.

If you've ever looked at the Orchestra music, you'd hate it. One of the worst jobs putting together music I've ever seen. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.19.8.99 (talk) 02:45, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Summer Theater

[edit]

My summer theater program is putting on a production of Seussical in the summer of '08. I've heard a lot of bad things about it, but after last summer's production of Les Misérables, I feel as though we may need something fun and kind of stupid to lighten the audiences' spirits. Do you think this is a bad play to do? And if so, do you have any suggestions for other plays we could do? We're hoping for a play with good ensemble parts, but also a fair amount of leads because there are many talented people in our cast. 71.187.187.5 20:17, 29 September 2007 (UTC)heshootscocacola[reply]

Seussical is really good, the people who don't like it are just too serious, I love it and think it would be a great show for your group to do, because there are alot of leads and 2 big chorus's with no set amount of people. The music is great, and it has about 50 billion uplifting messages stuck in it, and some real serious things in it too.

Jojo?

[edit]

First of all, I am in my school's production of Seussical. I am a bird girl 1, and it is great, except for the fact that I can't sing Solla Sollew, because I am not a who or a citizen. I absolutely love the play, the costumes are fun, (if a little scratchy with all the feathers)and the songs have such good lines But I have a question:

Who is Jojo, what Seuss book is he from? I searched all of mine and only found an illustration in "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" where a tricycle is addressed to an unknown who named Jojo. I absolutely love the character (and have a huge crush on the guy who plays him)Jojo is alot like me, very out-of-the-box and different.

Jojo is actually the young Who in Horton Hears a Who! that the Mayor enlists to say something to help the Whos be heard. In the end, he shouts "YOPP!" and the animals in the jungle hear the Whos from then on.

Requested move

[edit]

I've requested that the article be moved back to Seussical. —  MusicMaker5376 03:01, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Vocal ranges

[edit]

I reverted per WP:WPMT--"Vocal ranges: Vocal ranges for musicals articles should generally not be included in character lists..." This musical is not an opera or operetta. JeanColumbia (talk) 22:01, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Recent edits

[edit]

I've reverted numerous edits that contained information that was inconsistent with the cited libretto as well as personal experience seeing the production itself. Please tell me if there are any issues.--MOC1105 18:31, 23 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Seussical's run

[edit]

If Seussical didn't do well critically and finically, then why it continues on showing today? If it flopped, it'd show no more.

Does it gained a cult following or something?

Dr. Seuss's ABC

[edit]

Where does the musical make any reference to Dr. Seuss's ABC?

"Characters" section

[edit]

The "Characters" section is confusing. The first entry under "Major characters" says "the Cat also appears as the following minor characters:", but there's no indication which, if any, of the following characters are being referenced, since they're all in the "Major characters" section and none are in a sublist. And Sour Kangaroo is in both the major- and minor-character lists. I don't know enough about the musical to fix any of this. 2605:A601:AAF7:3700:F30:5106:2F47:51FC (talk) 02:44, 13 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
