SELF WINDING CLOCK CO INC
NEW YORK
how was the Self Winding Company related to Seth Thomas? 67.84.27.8 (talk) 03:53, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- I was able to find the answer in a reference quotation at the Self Winding Clock Company article: Self Winding's specialty was building cases into which they would place works made by other companies including those of Seth Thomas. Hence it appears that the Grand Central clock brass case and backlit face are products of Self Winding, but the hands and movement are products of the Seth Thomas Company. 67.84.27.8 (talk) 00:28, 16 May 2012 (UTC)
- I would note that the image is not directly related to the subject and is not appropriate for the Seth Thomas Clock Company when an image of a clock made exclusively by the company is so easily accessible. I propose to change the image to a clock produced by the company such as is found here. While that image may not have the proper license for Wikipedia, I propose to create an image from a similar clock to use for the info box.--Amadscientist (talk) 23:54, 21 July 2013 (UTC)
