[edit]Why the awkward phrasing of "is a next generation Russian language musician"...? Next after what? And I don't think you can use "Russian languae" as an adjective in this fair languae. Should be more like "is a modern hip hop musician who performs in Russian."--Josh Rocchio 20:11, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

"tough neighborhood"? Every neighborhood there is tough.

Interpretations of statements and personal impressions should not be part of wiki data
[edit]I humbled over this and was shocked. Sorry but I think this is a little bit exaggerated to make an artist a political supporter of something after a unreflected interview comment. And how fatal is the assumption made after? Here a comment is deliberately interpreted in an extreme way. He did not "declared support to Lukashenka" by what he sad there. This is a personal assumption and interpretation of the wiki user. I can make assumptions too: Maybe he just made unreflected comments regarding his birth country in an interview, maybe to provocate, or maybe because being unprepared for such questions, maybe he never changed his mind based on old previous opinions surrounding him traditionally or he felt overrun in discussion, etc, many possible reasons, and makes finally stupid comments then, like many rappers do. Maybe not the most sensitive comment yes but, most of them (rappers) have no political education (no offense) or any enough background knowledge to comment on such topics seriously. I am sure he is not aware of what it looks like to comment like this. Especially because he is living in Ukraine not in Belarus, so he can not really know what's up in Belarus today and he obviously has more favour for Ukraine than for Belarus. So? And apart from that: Quotes taken out of context from an interview do not shape a "political position". On the end of this multiple quoted interview he shows his real reasons for the comments but this has not been quoted here: "I do not want a war here."
It is only our sensitivity now in this situation hearing ants running everywhere. There is a long history between the 3 states - Ukraine, Belarus, Russia - where many artists have traveled between, in and out and around and lived in each of them from time to time. Their opinions about these countries can not be compared with how we look at it from Western perspective. Even Selenskyj became famous in Russia TV channel Nr.1 as moderator and worked for many years as film producer in Moscow. So can we trust him then? I think non of such comments can be waighted as pro or contra on this sensitive new order of things at the moment automatically. Him, an unpolitical artist who has done many music around the world including lots of in the US, to make him a supporter of something political which needs a notice in a Wiki, there should be more happening before. Otherwise we need to add any quick and unreflected statements like this to all the artists around the world in all the conflicts happened. And that would be tons!
If the artist shows more actions like this I would agree to make a note on this regard but for now I think it is far too much speculation and description of a personal impression but not a serious wiki data set added here. That's why I will revert it. Wikipedia should not participate in character assassination before it has a longer and more obvious story as a source. Le conciliateur (talk) 08:07, 9 April 2024 (UTC)
