Early life and College career
[edit]- Ref 1 needs date published (October 31, 2012)
- Please also cite his birthday
- Ref #6 says he had a tough time at in Florence, Alabama and nearly broke the school record for strikeouts. Can this be added?
- I can't access ref #6, unfortunately. Sanfranciscogiants17 (talk) 12:25, 19 January 2021 (UTC)
- Ref 8 doesn't support the content (ie.
Romo went to Orange Coast College before transferring to Arizona Western College.
) - Why is ref 9 cited twice when it can be used once?
- Ref 11 doesn't work for me

- See also Giants concerned about Sergio Romo's usage in the WBC
Romo gained notoriety for being one of the team's "Beards", along with LHP Jeremy Affeldt and closer Brian Wilson
- When I first read this, I immediately read it as Beard (companion). Can this be re-worded? I assume you actually meant he has a beard
His ERA was the third-lowest among NL relievers, and his strikeout-to-walk ratio of 14:1 was the best in MLB and the best ever since Dennis Eckersley's 18.25:1 ratio in 1990. He stranded 81.8% of runners (fifth in the NL) and trailed only Kris Medlen in strike percentage (71%) among NL pitchers with at least 20 innings pitched
. This isn't supported by the reference cited- No, it is (click View More Bio Info) Sanfranciscogiants17 (talk) 12:45, 19 January 2021 (UTC)
The closer (2012–14)
[edit]- Ref 44 needs an access-date
- Ref 45 doesn't say
Jeff Locke and Jordan Zimmermann made starts on Sunday and became ineligible to pitch
. It saysPittsburgh's Jeff Locke and Washington's Jordan Zimmermann, were ruled inactive
.- That's the reason pitchers are ruled inactive before an All-Star Game. If it was a reason other than that they had pitched on Sunday, the source would have said. Sanfranciscogiants17 (talk) 12:42, 19 January 2021 (UTC)
- Ref 53 needs date published (October 30, 2014)

[edit]- Is mlbtraderumors a reliable source? Can a better source be used?
Romo reached the playoffs as the Twins won the AL Central title in 2019
not mentioned in ref. Also, maybe re-word it toRomo helped the Twins reach the playoffs as they won the AL Central title in 2019
.- Source states that the Twins won the AL Central, and the fact that Romo pitched in the playoffs for them shows that he was part of the playoff team. However, I cited a reference mentioning one of the games he pitched in, for clarity's sake. Sanfranciscogiants17 (talk) 12:32, 19 January 2021 (UTC)
- Ref 91 needs author
Pitches
[edit]- Is fangraphs a reliable source?
- It should be. I've used it on several good articles in the past without anyone saying it was an issue. Sanfranciscogiants17 (talk) 12:29, 19 January 2021 (UTC)
Personal life
[edit]- Per WP:BLPPRIVACY and Wikipedia:Minors and persons judged incompetent, we don't usually list the name of children
- We know their names, so I think the article is more complete by listing them. It doesn't say anything derogatory about them. Sanfranciscogiants17 (talk) 12:57, 19 January 2021 (UTC)
