Political party

He left Democratic Party (PD) in 2009.

I paste from the Italian page.

Dati generali Partito politico DC (fino al 1994) PPI (1994-2002) DL (2002-2007) PD (2007-2009) Indipendente (dal 2009) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.33.244.225 (talk) 16:14, February 1, 2015‎ (UTC)

The Italian page was written by people that is in error. Sergio Mattarella is always a member of Democratic Party. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AloeVera95 (talkcontribs) 11:38, July 24, 2015 (UTC)

Political Views and Platform

While the article contains a lot of play-by-play information about his political career, it omits any discussion about what values and policies he focuses on. Perhaps more description about the political parties he is affiliated with would leave the reader more informed. 65.93.187.163 (talk) 12:53, 4 February 2015 (UTC)

The parties are all linked to their relevant articles, so that should be sufficient if a reader wants to know more. Denisarona (talk) 14:18, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
It doesn't even mention the party of which he is leader. Compare to other prime minister or president pages for reference. I will find this information and add it.65.93.187.163 (talk) 20:40, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
Ah, he was chosen by parliament and isn't the leader of any party - maybe the article header summary could be more effective? Psiri (talk) 20:51, 4 February 2015 (UTC)

Sicilian language name

As Mr. Mattarella is ethnically Sicilian I would like to include his Sicilian language name as a secondary language. https://scn.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sergiu_Mattarella. Thoughts? Paolorausch (talk) 22:45, 26 May 2016 (UTC)

This name does not exist. It is a disputable transliteration made only by Sicilian wikipedia. We do not have anything, even far, similar to this in the reality.--93.36.7.30 (talk) 00:19, 27 May 2016 (UTC)

Honorifics

@Nick.mon- I only added the source back on the honorific prefix because I've had it deleted twice because I didn't cite. Just wanted to make sure I was thorough. If you have any other thoughts, I'm new to this so let me know so I can continue to learn. Thanks! Spf121188 (talk) 19:05, 11 August 2021 (UTC)

"12th President"

@Handoto: I am helping you go out of the recent edit war by opening a discussion where you can try to convince the community about your edits, and revert the current consensus about not showing the numbering of the Italian presidents (or prime ministers), since it is not of common practice. --Yakme (talk) 22:37, 9 December 2021 (UTC)

Protection

There is an ongoing edit war implemented by an IP user to change the official portrait of Sergio Mattarella for unknown reasons. I sincerely think that the only way to stop this useless edit war is to protect the page. Thanks -- Nick.mon (talk) 11:53, 4 September 2023 (UTC)

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. M.Bitton (talk) 15:06, 4 September 2023 (UTC)
