Synvet's map

The removal of the map's ref was not a vandalism. I removed the ref about A.Synvet being pro-Greek because what the ref actually says is not at all that: It says that the MAP was favourable to the Greek cause, which is something entirely different. In detail: "Other maps (not other geographers) amongst other ..... were favourable to the Greek cause" meaning that they agreed with the Greeks. That doesn't make (the geographers themselves) pro-Greek. The text is free on line as pdf --Factuarius (talk) 00:16, 18 March 2010 (UTC)

Turkocracy?

I'm changing it to under the Ottoman Empire. Since Turkocracy does not sound NPOV Rad vsovereign (talk) 10:25, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

Reasons for POV tag

Almost all sources about the historical presence of Serbs in Macedonia are from Serbian authors. So either sources from other authors need to be added or it should be noted that most information is from the Serbian point of view - which is also unacceptable for a Wikipedia article, though preferable to the current situation of the article being a de-facto POV fork. Kostja (talk) 10:56, 17 January 2011 (UTC)

This is really ridiculous: Serbian sources, however, speak of two unsuccessful uprisings against the Bulgarian overlords. Lol. Jingiby (talk) 15:02, 1 February 2014 (UTC)

Notable people

Firstly, that estimate is obviously not reliable enough to stay in the infobox. Next, the notable persons list. If there is an individual listed without an article (red link) it must be sourced. And there is no claim on Antic's article that he is of Serbian descent. Therefore, I will be reverting back. --Local hero talk 01:24, 12 December 2014 (UTC) Estimate is real Because number of people of Serbian descent is much higher than 36000,antic is Serbian descent and you have a source and people in red link is notable Serbian born in BYRM. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mitrale89 (talkcontribs) 20:48, 15 December 2014 (UTC)

It is not a reliable estimate. It clearly comes from a biased writer, just looking at how he arrived at his 'realistic' figures. The notability of the people you added needs to be verified with references. We can't just take your word for it. --Local hero talk 21:00, 15 December 2014 (UTC)

This is your opinion but all Serbian organizations from FYRM claimed that number of 36000 is not real and is much higher and for notable people in red I will find sources,i know that you bieleve that people of Serbian descent is "serboman" and you can be objective it's obviously. Mitrale89 (talk) 21:37, 15 December 2014 (UTC)mitrale89 Sorry - you cannot be objective- Mitrale89 (talk) 21:43, 15 December 2014 (UTC) mitrale89

I'm glad you know what I believe. The census is the most reliable figure we have; it is used on all articles of ethnic minorities in the Republic. Other reliable estimates are included. If there is an organization that represents Serbs in Macedonia and they claim a higher figure, it can be included, while noting where the estimate comes from. This article, however, is not acceptable. --Local hero talk 00:31, 16 December 2014 (UTC)

Like I said, this is encyclopedia not your private blog where you can decide what is acceptable or not, there is a valid source of estimate and I'm sorry for your but ethnic Serbs in FYRM exist. Mitrale89 (talk) 10:19, 16 December 2014 (UTC)mitrale89

I don't think your English is good enough to be editing here. Anyhow, no the source does not work and it has nothing to do with my personal opinion. --Local hero talk 14:42, 16 December 2014 (UTC)

Unfortunately for you source working well Mitrale89 (talk) 15:08, 16 December 2014 (UTC)mitrale89

Notable people, again

Any specific reason why Mara Djordjević has been removed from the list? Ulichar (talk) 13:10, 10 February 2015 (UTC)

Yes, the reason is that she's not from Macedonia. --Local hero talk 14:23, 10 February 2015 (UTC)
OK, she wasn't born in Macedonia, but both of her parents were from Macedonia and she spent her youth there as well. If that doesn't qualify one as being from Macedonia then what does?Ulichar (talk) 20:17, 13 February 2015 (UTC)
Where her parents are from doesn't matter. Her spending a portion of her life there would probably be reason enough for putting her in a list like this but her article lacks references. --Local hero talk 20:59, 13 February 2015 (UTC)

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

A normal historian in Serbia?

Is there just one normal historian in Serbia? Just one person with dignity? Who not produce lies about that the sun is rising evry morning from Belgrad?

Since when the setteling of the slavs ic count for a serbian presence? Since when in the all mediavale period when some serb conqured Macedonia for 20 years this is count for a serbian ethnic presency?

Since when 1 mln. people in Macedonia, the so called slavs lived there 1400 years without ethnicity? They had no culture, no history, no language, no traditions.... like that 1400 years and in 19 century came the bulgarians and made them all bulgarians for 10 years, as this ärticle" clime????

Where is the normality? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.237.139.182 (talk) 19:00, 25 August 2016 (UTC)

Overuse of images that purposely evoke unencyclopedic romanticism of medieval Serbs

I suggest deleting images that are 19th-21st century depictions of medieval Serbs since:

1st and foremost: Wikipedia is not an image gallery

2. these are painted by people with no direct relationship to Serbs of North Macedonia, for example, one is a modern painting from a church in Kosovo

3. Artist's nationalistic impressions of historical figures/events are unencyclopedic
