[edit]I would like to address the issues in the Alert box. I am not an 'expert in Catholicism' but I am a widely read and practicing Catholic, and I think my editing of the article is a considerable improvement. I have checked my data against the Carmelite website http://ocarm.org/en/content/liturgy/seraphina-di-dio-serafina-god-1621-1699
I think I have addressed the problem of its grammar, its style, its spelling. its cohesion and especially its tone.
Its tone is the major reason for its revision. Wikipedia is not the place to promote particular (outlandish) theories on mysticism and on those thousands who have embraced the 'religious' lifestyle within the framework of of Christianity in general or of Catholicism in particular.
The Existing references to Norman Douglas' work do not acknowledge Douglas' intense dislike of Catholicism and nuns in particular. (See the Wikipedia article on Norman Douglas to verify this.)
Given its polemic anti-Catholic and Anti-mystical tone, the entire 'Religion' section, which is merely a huge quotation from Douglas' work at its most rabid, in the current article is grossly inappropriate for an objective Wikepedia article.
No one is 'punished' by not being beatified. A case for beatification is introduced and it either makes progress, or it doesn't. No one has his or her cause automatically introduced, no matter what their earthly status.
Separately, I have linked the article to some other sites, so that it is no longer such an orphan. : Namely Pope Benedict XIII; List of venerable people (Roman Catholic)
