IPA Transcription
[edit]I'd like to propose an addition to the IPA transcription of the page. Only issue is it's a bit anecdotal. I'm a Papuan linguistics researcher and have spoken with a few other older specialists who have all seemed to pronounce "Sepik" with a long "e", i.e. [siːpɪk] or a long "a" (as in [seɪpɪk]). Though neither pronunciation, except the one on the Wiki page, is at present supported by a citation, it might be worth amending either way. 175.45.149.34 (talk) 23:34, 26 November 2022 (UTC)
