[edit]What is DOE? - Dominant Over Everyone or John Doe - is it a country? What is COB - corn on the cob? The article appears to be just a gross cut & paste from here:

This phrase "lighting manufactures [sic] can be directly pluged [sic] into the wall without considering any electrical conditions." Does that mean it doesn't need wires? This phrase "allowing manufacturers to bypass the chip connection process before use" - what does it mean?
